BFPA: Inspiring a Younger Generation Heading
For over 25 years, the BFPA has developed and launched a wide range of educational and training courses focusing on the world of hydraulics and pneumatics to support the fluid power industry which is the hidden force in global manufacturing.
Working with their European counterparts, the BFPA has developed a recognised and accepted European-wide structure that can lead to formal qualifications in fluid power to cover hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Partnering with its membership, the BFPA has a UK footprint of 25 training centres, with eight facilities delivering BFPA approved training courses to the Minimum Educational Recommendations (MERs) standard or higher.
Chris Butcher, Managing Director of the BFPA, commented: “The fluid power industry impacts our everyday life; without it, we would be in a very different world. This industry employs thousands of talented people; it is overflowing with engineering excellence, designing, and developing world-leading technology. Our industry is facing a shortage of new people. Through our training programmes and engaging more with schools, colleges, academies and other educational facilities, we need to create more interest and curiosity into this fantastic industry and then provide opportunity. The BFPA, along with its members, are striving to inspire the young minds of today to be the engineers, manufacturers, and talent of tomorrow.”
With over 100 trained and approved hose assembly facilities, as well as offering a significant range of online/digital learning and educational programmes, the British Fluid Power Association is one of the leading educational and training organisations in the UK including a client base from Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, and Australia.
