2023 is a special year for Flowtech as we celebrate 40 years of success in the fluid power industry. We’d like to share the festivities with all our customers and suppliers, so look out for special events and announcements throughout the year.
Flowtech have come a long way over the last four decades.
It all started in 1983, with the founding of a small company based in the north west of England. We sold quick release couplings to garage forecourts and grew quickly, gaining an exclusive Rectus distributorship in 1986. We were also one of the first companies in the UK to hold ISO accreditation.
Back in 1995, we published our first catalogue with Distributor branding. We’ve developed our catalogues over the intervening years, and we’re looking forward to the new editions in 2024.
Flowtech settled into purpose-built offices and warehouse in Skelmersdale in 1999. Our distribution centre has seen many expansions and improvements over the years, including our state-of-the-art Kardex lift system.
The warehouse isn’t the only thing that evolved over time; we expanded into Benelux in 2007, and acquired other companies to add to our range of products and services.
Other highlights in our history include being listed on the AIM stock exchange in 2014, and launching the fluid power industry’s first mobile app in 2015.
The new Flowtech branding, and the merging of our acquired businesses into one brand in 2022, gave us a new outlook and made more products available to you across the pneumatic, hydraulic, industrial, process valve and compressed air sectors.
We’ve worked hard over the last 40 years to shape Flowtech into the company it is today… the UK’s largest distributor of fluid power products.
